Crafting in the classroom

My love of crafting is shown in the classroom. Over the years I have been blessed with being able to share my love of crafting with all of my students in many different forms.

Another day another project. I keep coming home to an insane amount of amazon boxes, they were getting very hard to ignore. So instead of doing the reasonable thing like throwing them away or recycling them I decided how fun would it be for them to be added to the block area as life size blocks. We took the boxes decorated them and then put them into the block area and watch the creativity EXPLODE!

Decorating the boxes!

Just an unlimited things we can make with them!

Today was all about paint and yarn. Today we created a fun way to practice our writing in paint bags. In each of the bags I added two different types of paint so that they were able to see mixing paints as well as different shapes of glitter so they could look for different things. My students loved this activities and were signing into this center all day long!

Letters on the front
Numbers on the back

As for the yarn. We made 10 little ghosts. To make our 10 little ghosts float we glued paperclips inside and put shredded paper on top. To find the ghosts we gave the students a magnet wand to find all 10!
